I’ve viewed the blogosphere from afar, toyed with MySpace and Facebook…I”ve wanted to form my own blog, but didn’t want to conform to the myriad of rules they have – and I absolutely loath the massive amounts of advertising and links on the “free” sites. I’m also a bit of a geek, so I decided to form my own blog, using my own domain name, and manage my own software.
Here’s a bit about me… Computer geek, poet, veteran soldier, teacher, wedding chaplain, father & grandfather, business manager, entrepreneur, and many other titles… I question the status quo, search for hidden meaning, love a good conspiracy (or even a bad one)… I’m passionate for what I believe in, open-minded to find new ways, and my wife says I”m an “old soul…”
I will be posting my musings about anything that’s on my mind…politics, poetry, conspiracies, love, spirituality, religion, war, military, veterans, ecology, sociology, pharmacology, liberty, ad infinitum (or “ad nauseum” depending on your view).
I will also enjoy your responses – even those that are in contradiction to my own ideas (I enjoy the counter-view so much that, if there is a consensus in a group I am with, I have often played devil’s advocate in order to create a counter-view!) Having said all of that, responses with flaming (against this site or other posters), advertising, porn links, etc., will all be blocked – let’s have a reasoned discussion!
As a side note to anything posted on this blog – though I am currently employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), any posts or comments placed on this blog are strictly my own and do not reflect the position or policy of the VA in specific or the Federal government as a whole – they are strictly my own.
